Three years ago, I was morbidly obese, pre-diabetic, with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, profound fatigue and other health problems. I knew I had to do something about my health if I wanted to see my children grow up and if I wanted the energy and vitality to live life to the fullest every day. As a registered nurse who avidly pursued nutrition education, I firmly believed that poor nutrition was at the heart of my problems, and the right nutrition could really help if not fix the problems. I was right. By making a few changes to my diet, I was able to lose 80 pounds, completely reverse my pre-diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol problems. I did this without the help of medications or any type of gimmicky weight loss products or by killing myself with exercise. Rather, I accomplished this simply with food bought at my local grocery store. I have made it my aim to help others achieve their health and wellness goals.
As a diabetes educator, I have been actively sharing these methods with my diabetic clients with amazing results. Some are able to get control of their blood sugars for the first time since diagnosis. Coming from a family of diabetics, I have a strong passion for fighting the disease at its root causes. Having my own experience with pre-diabetes, I know what it takes to achieve normal blood sugars. And I want that for you! Is your diabetes getting worse by the year? Are your medication doses increasing year after year? Let me help you get control of your blood sugars and halt this vicious cycle. Let me help you get your health and vitality back.

These services are taught through a special dedicated website. Why a different website?
The nature of a “blog” is to write periodically about anything and everything you are passionate about. This site is my personal blog and it contains not only informational content but also my thoughts and opinions on a wide variety of topics, not always related to diabetes and weight management. However, I felt my professional services needed a dedicated site so that it could explore much deeper into the treatment of obesity and diabetes as well as giving participants in my courses greater resources without being limited by the size restrictions of this blog. The dedicated site also includes resources for other healthcare professionals to learn about and embrace important health concepts.
Once registered for services, clients are given access to protected content on the dedicated website. Each of the links below will connect you to my education services website.
